Welcome! If you are interested in an exciting career in law enforcement, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) offers a wide variety of opportunities. You can become a commissioned police or corrections officer, or support them in a civilian function, such as crime scene investigations, 9-1-1/dispatch, forensics, or information technologies. The LVMPD has over 200 positions to choose from, in a wide range of career fields, to match your individual interests and qualifications. The LVMPD is required to operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and any employee may be required to work any hours, days or shift, including holidays and weekends. This is a condition of employment without exception.
